


Danny Fuqua
Retired Army Veteran/ Co-Pastor/Financial Advisor/Community Advocate

Danny Fuqua is a native of Edwards, Mississippi. He received his A.S. Degree from Vincent University, a Diploma of Practical Theology from International, a B.S. in Business Administration from Liberty University, and his M.B.A. from Liberty University. Danny is a retired army veteran of 29 years, and served a tour duty in Iraq from November/2010 until November/2011.
Danny is happily married to his lovely wife, Muriel Fuqua. He has two children and three beautiful grandchildren. Danny is the Co-Pastor of Word And Praise Family Church, Inc. in Daytona Beach, Florida. He is a mentor, entrepreneur, and has unique business and finance skills. His ambition is to make sure that everyone becomes homeowners and debt free. For the past several years, Danny has done budgeting and money management workshops that have changed the lives of many people. Additionally, Danny is also the Co-Chairman of the Midtown Redevelopment Board for the City of Daytona Beach, Florida, past president of the Midtown Neighborhood Association, President of the Black Pilots of America (BPA) Robert B. Griffin Central FL Chapter, active member of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professional, (OBAP), past mentor for Youth Initiatives Foundation, Inc., past mentor for Florida Youth Challenge Program in Camp Blanding, Florida, and board member of the Daytona Aviation Flight Academy in Palm Coast, Florida.
Danny has received many awards and distinctions. They include but are not limited to the following: Florida Commendation Medal, Florida Governor Jeb Bush; Army Good Conduct Medal; Global War on Terrorism Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Humanitarian Medal Award, Department of the Army, and the National Defense Achievement Medal.
Danny Fuqua is a great encourager and a great provider for his family and church, and a great asset to his community. In 2013, the City of Daytona Beach, Florida awarded him a Hometown Hero Recognition for his work in the local community. Danny currently works quarterly with his city, county, and state, to provide humanitarian services for hurricane victims.
Finally, Danny is a private pilot student and wishes to obtain his private pilot license in the very near future. His motto in life is: “Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime.
